Causes of the Climate Crisis

Human activity is the main cause of climate change. People burn fossil fuels and convert land from forests to agriculture. Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, people have burned more and more fossil fuels and changed vast areas of land from forests to farmland. ~Causes for rising emissions •Burning coal, oil, and gas produces carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. •Cutting down forests (deforestation). •Increasing livestock farming. •Fertilisers containing nitrogen produce nitrous oxide emissions. •Fluorinated gases are emitted from equipment and products that use these gases. •Power Plants. •Transportation •Deforestation •Fertilizers •Oil Drilling. •Natural Gas Drilling. Find ways to help the environment.  Be part of the solution, not part of the pollution. Do your bit against climate change today. Author: Varisha Bhatt

Electric Cars

Do you think that the future lies in electric vehicles? Electric cars use electricity instead of petrol or diesel-like ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) cars.  Electric cars combine many infrastructure market characteristics in terms of economies of scale, network effects, high investment costs, and low marginal costs.

This is its first major disadvantage. Car manufacturers have, however, readily adjusted to the new circumstances. With the petrol pumps spread across the world, electric charging facilities have been added. Another setback of electric cars was speed. The cars didn’t have enough speed like the ICE cars. But now, electric cars have been made with super speeds.

Coming to its advantages, its main advantage is that it uses electricity in place of petrol or diesel. Electricity can be produced by renewable means of energy. This is very beneficial as it prevents climate change.

Climate change is very harmful to humankind. It has adverse effects on the environment. Thus, electric cars are the future for vehicles and if you’re planning to buy a car, get an electric car and do your part against climate change.
